Earthing: A Film Based on the Works of Didi Contractor

In honor of International Women’s Day (March 8) in 2024, the Council of Architecture in India released a new documentary film on the life and work of Didi Contractor, the cofounder of Earthville’s Internship in Vernacular Eco-Architecture in partnership with Dharmalaya Institute (Earthville Institute’s sister campus in the Himalayas), who passed away in 2021.

Directed by renowned Indian auteur Gurvinder Singh, the film explores Didi’s award-winning work in earth-friendly architecture and also features footage from Dharmalaya Institute, including an interview with Mark Moore (cofounder of both Dharmalaya Institute and Earthville Institute).
